StAT: Standing Against Trafficking – October 14th-16th

After drug dealing and illegal weaponry, Human Trafficking is the third-largest criminal industry in the world today. The International Labor Organization estimates that global profits from forced labor and Human Trafficking exceed $44 billion annually. An estimated 27 million people are held captive around the world at any given time. Close to 55,000 children and women are brought into the U.S. each year.
The church is best equipped to combat this evil because we have the Compassion of Christ. “…he had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd.” Mt 9:36.
